Wretched Man, Redeemed.

"O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then with the mind I myself serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." -Rom 7:24,25

    Good books.

Howabout The Challenge of Jesus by N.T. Wright? Paradigm-shifting stuff there.

    Hi Rob!

I think you should give your mind an easy read and try "Marley and Me" written by John Grogan.

It may stimulate some of the emotional sides.... not so much the intellectual side!

I second the Challenge of Jesus recommendation. That book blew my mind and through my paradigms completely out of whack. You will never read the parables (let alone the Gospels) the same.

I just finished reading a book called Texaco for one of my classes. It's about... well, it's about a lot of things. Imperialism, the human spirit, race, salvation.. the list could go on. I would try to give you a brief plot synopsis, but that would be impossible. So, if you want something extremely challenging, but also extremely rewarding, you may want to give it a whirl.
